Projects
This locally owned, locally developed wind project is planned for installation on Georgia Mountain in the towns of Milton and Georgia, in Chittenden and Franklin counties, in northwestern Vermont. Georgia Mountain Community Wind is unique in that the land owner and client is also the developer.
The Granite Reliable Power 99MW windpark (33 3MW turbines) is proposed for installation in Coos County, New Hampshire.
This municipally owned project in Russell, Massachusetts, is an excellent example of community wind power in action.
The Kingdom Community Wind (KCW) project is being proposed by Vermonters, for Vermonters, on an approximately 3-mile portion of the Lowell Mountain range in the southwest corner of Orleans County in the Northeast Kingdom community of Lowell.
The Deerfield Wind project builds upon the success of the Northeast’s largest utility-scale wind installation: the Searsburg Wind Power Facility.
The eleven 550-kilowatt wind turbines that make up Searsburg's 6-megawatt power plant provide enough emission-free electricity to supply 1,600 average Vermont households.
